SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel management systems for internal combustion engines. Disclosed are systems and methods for improving fuel injection in an engine comprising a cylinder, fuel into which is supplied via two different fuel injectors. In one example, adjustment of transfer function or transfer ratio of fuel injector of direct injection is performed based on value of lambda of exhaust gases and fraction of fuel supplied to cylinder during cycle of cylinder.
EFFECT: invention enables to reduce errors in the fuel-air mixture formation in the engine cylinder and reduces engine toxicity.
