FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is method obtaining microporous cobalt (II) 2-methylimidazolate, comprising steps of mixing 1.1–1.5 % alkali, 2.7–3.1 % cobalt (II) salts, and 4–6 % 2-methylimidazole in water (balance), at temperature of 15–30 °C for 0.1–3 hours, precipitate is separated by means of filtration or centrifugation and washed with water with separation of solid substance, then dried with a stream of hot air at 100–150 °C for 1–8 hours, then activated in dynamic vacuum of not less than 10-3 bar at 150–200 °C for at least 3 hours.
EFFECT: high sorption capacity relative to gases and vapors.
