SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. Method involves exposing a cell population in the form of pore mechanical destruction of a cell membrane with subsequent exposure of pH from 5.4 to 5.6, in an amount and for a time effective to increase the number of cells in the cell suspension, which express pluripotency markers, with subsequent selection of cells expressing one or more pluripotency markers. Obtained cells are introduced into the spinal cord of the individual.
EFFECT: increasing the number of pluripotent cells in a population of non-embryonic differentiated somatic cells and recovering a nerve function in a subject with neurological damage.
