SUBSTANCE: invention relates to monitoring of vehicle sensors operability. Method of monitoring performance of sensors of a vehicle comprises steps of receiving first data from a vehicle through a processor of a road station, receiving second data from one or more sensors, one of which is built into the road. Second data indicate location determination by means of ground control of the vehicle, comparing the first data and the second data and forming an operability assessment in response to the comparison result indicating the difference between the first data and the second data. Proposed device comprises one or more sensors, wireless transceiver and processor to communicate with one or more sensors and wireless transceiver. Processor is additionally configured to generate an operability assessment. At least one of one or more sensors is built into the road and is configured to generate data indicating location by means of ground control of the vehicle.
EFFECT: enabling early monitoring of vehicle sensors operability.
