SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and concerns application of protein containing amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 1, or containing an amino acid sequence which is at least 95 % identical to the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 1 and has differences compared to SEQ ID NO: 1 only in non-conservative amino acid residues, to form double-strand break in DNA molecule located immediately before nucleotide sequence 5'-NNNNGNA-3' in said DNA molecule.
EFFECT: invention allows simplifying editing of genome of biotechnologically significant bacterium Clostridium celluloliticum.
