BIORESORBABLE BARRIER MEMBRANE BASED ON POLYSACCHARIDE FOR DIRECTED REGENERATION OF BONE TISSUE Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B17/56

Abstract RU 2713657 C1

FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to bioresorbable barrier membrane based on barium alginate for directed regeneration of bone tissue, in which porosity is up to 95–98 %, pore size from 100 to 500 mcm, pH 6.8–7.4, tensile strength of 3–5 MPa, phase composition – 100 wt% barium alginate. Disclosed is a bioresorbable barrier membrane based on barium alginate for targeted regeneration of bone tissue and a method for production thereof, which involves: a) preparing aqueous solution of sodium alginate; b) foaming the solution obtained at step a together with the aqueous surfactant solution; c) obtaining a stable foamed suspension by adding an aqueous solution of barium chloride to the solution obtained at step b; d) fixing the structure of the foamed suspension obtained at step c by freezing at -3–5 °C; e) cross-linking the membrane obtained at step d in an aqueous solution of barium chloride.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides a barium alginate-based membrane characterized by optimum resorption time, improved mechanical properties and uniform porosity.
