METHOD FOR DETERMINING PREDISPOSITION TO DYSFUNCTION OF THE AUTONOMIC NERVOUS SYSTEM IN FEMALES ASSOCIATED WITH EXCESSIVE CONTAMINATION WITH HEXANE Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G01N33/58 G01N33/49 C12Q1/6806 C12Q1/686 C12Q1/6876

Abstract RU 2766728 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to therapy and toxicology. Disclosed is a method for determining predisposition to dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system in females associated with excessive contamination with hexane. Urine and blood samples are taken from the patient. Hexane content in urine is determined, and in blood, content of immunoglobulin G (IgG) to hexane and level of serum serotonin. Buccal epithelium is sampled. GNB3 C825T (rs5443) gene polymorphism is genotyped. If the following diagnostic criteria are simultaneously met: the presence of the C genotype/C gene GNB3 C825T (rs5443), the hexane content in the urine is more than 10 times higher than the background level of 0.01 mcg/cm3, higher than the upper limit of the physiological norm of the level of IgG to hexane by more than 2 times and the level of serum serotonin higher than 50–220 ng/ml, patient is diagnosed with genetic predisposition to dysfunction of autonomic nervous system associated with excessive contamination with hexane.

EFFECT: invention provides reliable assessment of the effect of hexane on the onset of disturbed function of the autonomic nervous system in females.
