FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to radiation diagnostics and internal medicine clinic, and can be used for differential diagnosis of focal fatty hepatosis and hepatic cysts. Ultrasonic two-dimensional elastography of shear waves is performed for 6 seconds. That is followed by activating an ultrasonic color Doppler mapping mode with capturing the entire focal formation measurement window and the surrounding hepatic tissue 5–10 mm thick. In the presence of chaotic motion in the projection of the focal formation in the form of an intense color signal which is contouring from the surrounding hepatic tissue during ultrasonic color Doppler mapping, a liver cyst is diagnosed, and if there is no movement in the projection of the focal formation in the form of absence of color signals, the focal fatty hepatosis is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method enables providing more effective differential diagnosis of focal liver injuries.
