SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to laboratory diagnostics, and discloses a method for assessment of athletes adaptation potential. Method involves blood serum measurement by immunoenzymometric analysis of the level of antibodies to endogenous bioregulators selected from a group β-endorphin, orphanin, serotonin, dopamine, histamine, angiotensin, glutamate and gamma-aminobutyric acid, calculating an adaptation value in standard units for the level of antibodies of each endogenous bioregulator by dividing the difference value of the optical density of the analyzed sample and the average value of the optical density of blood serum samples of healthy donors, selected from the average statistical group of people of the same age and sex with the tested sportspeople engaged in recreational physical training, on the group average value of the optical density of blood serum samples of healthy donors. Results of calculating an adaptation index are used to evaluate a condition of a sportsman as: overtraining, state of under-training, the end of the recovery period or the peak of the form.

EFFECT: invention can be used in sports medicine to determine and evaluate biological reserves of body adaptation to physical activity.
