FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical microbiology. Disclosed is a method for extracting a pure culture of pasteurellosis activator Pasteurella multocida. Method involves prosection an infected and pasteurellised bird or rabbit with body weight of 350 g, sampling blood from the heart, adding to sterile water at 20±1 °C in ratio of 1:9 by volume. Then precipitate is shaken, transferred into suspension, centrifuged at 1,500 rpm for 5 minutes; supernatant fluid as Pasteurella isolate from blood in dilution 10-1 diluted to 10-2, 10-3, sowing at 20±1 °C on nutrient broth and nutrient agar, crops are cultivated for 9–19 hours at 37 °C and 1 hour at 20 °C.
EFFECT: method provides isolation of pure Pasteurella multocida with high virulence.
