SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and systems for controlling a vehicle engine for controlling air-fuel ratio (AFR) unbalance during fuel cut-off in deceleration mode. Disclosed are methods and systems for determining presence or absence of deviation of air-fuel ratio in cylinder, which can lead to imbalance of air-fuel ratio between engine cylinders. In one example, the method may include determining the presence or absence of air-fuel ratio errors by deviating from the expected air-fuel ratio during fuel cutoff in deceleration mode.
EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of determining air-fuel ratio of mixture in separate cylinder.
