In method of generating target vehicle speed for vehicle with driving assistance, calculating predicted value of vehicle speed command, which arrives after expired preset time interval from current time, for each speed command value from a plurality of speed command values, including a speed command value for following the master vehicle and a speed command value based on the cartographic information. Then, the smallest value is selected from the set of computed predicted values of the vehicle speed command as the target speed.
EFFECT: reduced jerk during movement.
