SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a method for maintaining a healthy microflora balance in the urogenital area of a patient in need thereof. Method for maintaining a healthy microflora balance in a patient's urogenital area in need thereof, provides local introduction into urogenital area of patient of composition containing one therapeutic agent selected from group consisting of maltitol, pullulan, maltotriose, 2-deoxy-D-ribose, 1-kestosis and Erlose in amount of 0.1 to 2.0 wt/vol. % in the composition, and an aqueous solvent, wherein the composition promotes growth of L.crispatus relative to E.coli in such a way that the therapeutic effect is more than 30.
EFFECT: said method enables to intensify growth or activity of Lactobacillus crispatus lactobacilli in relation to Escherichia coli in vivo in the urogenital area by administering the composition to a patient in need thereof, and maintain and maintain a healthy microflora balance in the urogenital area.
