SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and describes a method for determining quantitative composition of a two-component or multicomponent mixture of plants. Use of a database of correction factors for plants of different types enables to quantify the presence of each of the species in question in a complex sample, which is a mixture of an arbitrary number of different plants, using high-performance sequencing techniques. Described method is applicable both to two-component samples, and is expanded to any number of components in sample by selection of one of them as reference, and calculation of correction coefficients in relation to it.

EFFECT: invention can be used for quantitative analysis of food composition of plant origin, including in order to control such products for compliance with declared composition declared by manufacturer.
