FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine. What is presented is a method for co-cultivation of iPS-EC cells, pericytes and astrocytes to form a cellular model of the hematoencephalic barrier (HEB). Pericytes are inoculated on a lower surface of a membrane coated with an extracellular matrix in density of 2.5⋅105 cells/cm2. Immature iPS-EC cells are inoculated on a layer of pericytes in relation to 1 well of 6-well plate with immature iPS-EC cells on 24 membrane inserts of 96-well plate in EC culture medium with addition of bFGF and retinoic acid. Astrocytes are inoculated on the upper (internal) side of the membrane insert in density of 2.5⋅105 cells/cm2 in an EC nutrient medium with the addition of bFGF and retinoic acid. After 24 hours, medium without additives is added to EC medium, incubated for 24 hours more.
EFFECT: invention provides creation of HEB models in vitro.
