FIELD: radio equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used to determine the range from an antenna phase center (APC) transmitting radio signals (RS) of an object to an APC of an RS receiving object. RS transmitting entity comprises a device transmitting RS with given individual features. RS-receiving object comprises a device which receives and identifies RS, connected to an antenna device, and a module connected to the antenna device, configured to both lock the APC position of the antenna device and to displace the APC along the predetermined straight path according to a predetermined law. RS receiving object also has a measurement and information subsystem (MIS) operatively coupled to the receiving RS device and a module configured to measure, at the fixed position of the APC, the frequency deviation of the spectrum of the received RS from the given position of the spectrum and measurement during movement of the APC projection of speed and acceleration of its movement on the line connecting APC of said objects, and determining from them and speed of range movement and transmission of obtained information to consumers. RS transmitting entity also has an information subsystem operatively coupled to the transmitting RS device configured to receive information transmitted by said MIS and use thereof to correct parameters of the transmitted RS.

EFFECT: absence of a requirement for a single time system for transmitting and receiving RS objects and unambiguous determination of said range.
