FIELD: radio equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used to determine the range from an antenna phase center (APC) transmitting radio signals (RS) of an object to an APC of an RS receiving object. In the method, the RS transmitting entity transmits the RS with the specified individual features, on the receiving RS object they are identified. When receiving, fixing the position of the antenna of the RS receiving object, fixing the predetermined position of its PC and measuring the frequency deviation of the spectrum of the received RS from the given position of the spectrum and using this deviation to ensure frequency adjustment of the transmitted RS. Besides, the antenna and APC of the receiving object are moved along the specified circular trajectory with the specified angular speed and the projection of speed of movement of APC is measured on the line connecting the APC of the specified objects, corresponding acceleration and derivative of this acceleration in time. Projections of speed of movement of APC and angular speed determine distance varying in time. Obtained information is transmitted to consumers, including to RS transmitting object.
EFFECT: absence of a requirement for a single time system for transmitting and receiving RS objects and unambiguous determination of range.
