SUBSTANCE: invention refers to chemical-pharmaceutical industry. Disclosed is a method for preparative chromatographic separation of racemic salbutamol base using chiral supercritical fluid chromatography, characterized in that for the process of chromatographic separation of racemic salbutamol base a high-performance preparative supercritical fluid chromatographic system Prep 200 Q SFS is used, manufactured by Waters Corp, USA, with a preparative chiral chromatographic CHIRALPAK IG column with a sorbent modified with a chiral selector based on immobilized tris(3-chloro-5-methylphenylcarbamate)amylose; mobile phase is a mixture of supercritical CO2, methanol with a mass fraction in a mobile phase of 18 % and triethylamine in amount of 0.5 vol. % with respect to methanol as a dynamic modifier; wherein the separation is carried out at a mass flow rate of CO2 of 140–200 g/min, a volume of the introduced sample of 0.85 ml of a solution of racemic salbutamol base in methanol with concentration 86.8 g/l, temperature 23 °C and detection wavelength of 225 nm.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a R-salbutamol base in a preparative scale with high enantiomeric purity, which is not less than 90 %.
