SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a system and method of collecting biological molecules. System comprises an extractor assembly comprising a top cover, an extractor core, an extractor core adapter, an extractor housing and a cover lower ring. Method comprises connecting a syringe with a volume of a fluid-containing sample with an assembly, connecting the downstream end of the extractor core adapter with the sample preparation container sealing cover and passing the sample volume from the syringe through the extractor core to collect sample on substrate and residue in container for sample processing.

EFFECT: inventions provide a closed system free from contamination, made with possibility of portable or manual operation during extraction, treatment of biological fluids of large volumes, stabilization of molecules for sample transportation in ambient conditions, elution of extracted nucleic acids without centrifugation, preparation of sample free from pathogen for further application.
