FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, particularly, to underwater vessels destroying ice cover during surfacing. Ice cover is proposed to be destroyed by submarine by its attachment to ice by means of anchor and rope. Available onboard ballast tanks are filled with outboard water. Ship by means of propeller and steering device is moved along circular trajectory with linear speed equal to speed of resonant flexural-gravity waves in ice cover. Length of rope and diameter of circulation is selected as minimum from conditions of provision of safe burial of vessel and its technical capabilities, and swivel is installed in rope.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of ice breaking.
