FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding, in particular to submarine vessels capable of destroying the continuous ice cover upon their ascent. Disclosed is method of ice cover destruction, which consists in attachment of vessel to ice by means of anchor and rope with subsequent filling of ballast tanks with outboard water. Then, by means of the auxiliary thrust devices installed in the ship tips, the vessel is provided with rotation around the vertical main axis of inertia and at the same time pitching is transmitted with frequency of the resonant flexural-gravity waves, note here that rope is attached to ship at point located on its rotational axis while swivel is arranged in rope.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of ice breaking.
