FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the restoration of the mounting surface of the shaft for the rolling bearing. A cylindrical hole is drilled in the shaft, the axis of which coincides with the geometric axis of the shaft. The landing neck of the shaft under the rolling bearing is heated to a temperature at which the coefficient of thermal linear expansion is 14.5×10-6…15×10-6°С-1. A cylindrical steel element is installed in the shaft hole along the transition mounting, the length of the landing part of which corresponds to the length of the mounting surface under the rolling bearing. The landing shaft neck is cooled and its mechanical processing is carried out for the landing size.
EFFECT: invention provides a restored mounting surface of the shaft for installing a rolling bearing on it for a tight fit.
