FIELD: internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of diagnostics of the low pressure circuit (LPC) of an internal combustion engine. A method is proposed for diagnosing a low pressure circuit (LPC) of a gasoline and diesel internal combustion engine (ICE) using the Low Pressure Circuit Energy (LPCE) program operating in the Windows-XP, -7, -8, -10 environment, using the diagnostic models. Pressure and flow meters are connected to the LPC and the current values of the LPC hydraulic energy parameters, including pressure and fuel supply, are measured. The characteristics of the internal combustion engine and its systems, LPC, fuel and air are manually entered into the LPCE program, and automatically calculated error-free design values of diagnostic parameters are instantly obtained on the personal computer monitor. The current values of the parameters are compared with the calculated values, on the basis of which the technical condition and technical diagnosis of the LPC are determined.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to facilitate and speed up diagnostics of the condition of the LPC.
