SUBSTANCE: Analyzer Faulty System (AFS) is proposed - an analyzer of an inoperative system of a gasoline internal combustion engine (ICE), and a method for its application. AFS includes means for forced sampling of exhaust gases (EG), measurement and indication of voltage about the concentration of hydrogen in the EG. The method for analyzing systems and recognizing an inoperative system is that if the air-fuel mixture is characterized as rich, then, depending on the voltage indicated by AFS, the gas distribution mechanism with a defect, non-optimal valve timing or a gasoline injection system with a defect, a rich mixture or exhaust system, is determined to be inoperative with a defect increased resistance.
