FIELD: glass.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tempered vacuum glass. Tempered vacuum glass comprises at least two glass sheets arranged in parallel. At least one of glass sheets is tempered glass. At that, sealing of adjacent glass sheets along perimeter is provided by means of edge seal. Between sheets of glass there is an array of supporting struts, which provides formation of vacuum space. Said edge seal is a metal edge sealing structure which extends along the perimeter of adjacent glass sheets when forming metal soldering. Edge seal consists of several layers arranged in the following order: transition layer, metallisation layer, layer of intermetallic compound, brazing layer, layer of intermetallic compound, metallisation layer, transition layer. Metal layer is a spongy frame structure formed by a sintered metal powder suspension. After heating and melting, the solder fills the capillary pores of the structure in the form of a spongy frame on the surface of the adjacent metallisation layer, forming a layer of the intermetallic compound. Said metal powder suspension is a suspension of silver-coated copper or a suspension of silver-coated nickel.
EFFECT: technical result is providing airtightness, high mechanical properties, wear resistance and weather resistance when sealing edges of vacuum glass.
