SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing 11 α-acetoxyprogesterone. Method includes transformation of 11 α-hydroxyprogesterone strain of mycelial fungus Aspergillus nidulans, deposited in the Russian National Collection of Industrial Microorganisms under registration number F-1069. For transformation, a spore suspension of the fungus is inoculated into a rocking flask with a growth medium, is grown till the amount of biomass is equal to 1 g/100 ml by weight of dry mycelium while stirring. Then solution 11 is added to the growth medium α-hydroxyprogesterone in dimethylsulphoxide or dimethyl formamide until concentration thereof in the medium is from 2 to 6 % (vol) and to substrate concentration in range of 0.1–1.0 g/l, incubated on a shaker at temperature of 37±0.5 °C for 4±0.5 days in conditions of limited aeration at rate of 90–100 rpm for 216 hours or in conditions of intensive aeration at rate of 240–250 rpm for at least 168 hours. After incubation, the products are extracted by extraction and purified to produce target product 11 α-acetoxyprogesterone.

EFFECT: invention ensures selectivity of formation of the end product of not less than 80 %.
