FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed are methods and systems for detecting ignition misfire in a cylinder of a vehicle engine by a plurality of sensors based on the frequency at which the two-mass flywheel (TMF) operates. In response to detection of ignition misfire, cylinders with misfiring can be deactivated, and after confirming that TMF operates outside of resonance frequency range, deactivated cylinder (cylinders) can be successively reactivated.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy of ignition misfire detection and ability to maintain activity of engine cylinders for a longer period of time.
