METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF POSTOPERATIVE COMPLICATIONS AND MORTALITY IN PATIENTS WITH PERFORATED GASTRODUODENAL ULCERS COMPLICATED BY DIFFUSE PERITONITIS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B5/00

Abstract RU 2732210 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to urgent abdominal surgery, and can be used for prediction of development of postoperative complications and lethal outcomes in patients with perforated gastroduodenal ulcers complicated by diffuse peritonitis. At the preoperative stage, the patient is diagnosed with a severe accompanying pathology – ASA III-IV, a shock at admission, a disease duration of more than 24 hours, age is more than 50 years. Presence of each specified parameter is evaluated as 1 point. Obtained points are summed up. If the total score is 2 or more, postoperative complications and a lethal outcome are predicted in the patients with perforated gastroduodenal ulcers complicated by diffuse peritonitis.

EFFECT: method enables effective prediction of development of postoperative complications and lethal outcomes in patients with perforated gastroduodenal ulcers complicated by diffuse peritonitis by evaluating complex of the most significant parameters.
