FIELD: optical instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical instrument-making and can be used primarily in making optical instruments based on permanent joints of glass with metal holder with high strength, resistant to vibration and operating in a wide temperature range. Method of connecting parts from glass with parts from metals by soldering includes preparing surfaces to be joined, applying a layer of titanium paste on surface of part from glass, insertion between joined surfaces of part from glass and part from metal solder, subsequent heating in vacuum and cooling. Titanium paste layer is applied with thickness of 150–190 mcm. Heating is carried out in argon medium to temperature of 500 °C with speed of not less than 2–3 °C per minute. Maintained at this temperature for at least 20 minutes and then cooled to temperature of 50–70 °C at a rate of not less than 1–2 °C per minute. Solder used for soldering is lead-based eutectic alloy with addition of indium and silver.
EFFECT: simple technique of making permanent joints of glass articles with articles made from metals.
