FIELD: vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automobile industry. According to the invention, the method of tyre control includes creation of a database connecting tyre models with their three-dimensional profiles and compression force, wherein the creation of the database includes for each model of tyre i) providing a model tyre onto the supporting plane, wherein the tyre is placed on one side, ii) indentation of the opposite side of the tyre to a required height, iii) repeated measurement for multiple points on the tyre surface within a period of at least one full rotation of the tyre, iv) measurement of force put to each point, v) calculation of a statistical value as a function of that force, vi) connection of the statistical value with the three-dimensional profile of the model tyre in the database, application during tyre control of a compressing force to the outer surface of the tyre, wherein said force is equal to the statistical value as a function of the force in accordance with the model corresponding with the contolled tyre and is retrieved from the database, to locate tyre defects.

EFFECT: improved quality of tyre control.
