SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for assembling tyres. Technical result is achieved via a method wherein a tire component is formed on a forming drum (12a, 12b) by applying strip-shaped elements (B) parallel to each other and next to each other and placing them consecutively on the application surface (S) extending along the length of the forming drum (12a, 12b) circumferentially in the radial direction outside relative thereto. Wherein each of the strip-shaped elements (B) is applied using a pressure roller (23) ensuring the application of radial pressure along the contact zone extending across with respect to the corresponding strip-shaped element (B) located on the application surface (S). Wherein during application the pressure roller (23) is subjected to elastic bending deformation along the rotation axis thereof (Y-Y) and said roller moves gradually along the longitudinal direction of the strip-shaped element (B) and deforms elastically by the strip-shaped element (B) so as to acquire a profile along the contact zone in a radial section, the shape whereof corresponding with the application surface (S) to distribute the radial pressure over the entire width of the strip-shaped element (B).

EFFECT: minimized inclusion of air particles during tire assembly and improved quality of the final product.
