FIELD: laser engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laser equipment. Laser radiation amplifier based on the solid-state active element includes a pumping radiation source based on laser diodes and a solid-state active element which acts as a waveguide for pumping radiation. Solid-state active element is made in the form of truncated right circular cone with two circular end faces serving for input of radiation into solid-state active element and emission of radiation from solid-state active element, and side surface of solid-state active element is in contact with layer of material providing waveguide propagation of pumping radiation. Amplifier also comprises cooling system of side surface of solid-state active element, an optical system for arranging pumping radiation into a solid-state active element, an optical system for arranging the amplified laser radiation into a solid-state active element located such that the amplified laser radiation is brought into the solid-state active element from the side of its circular end face, which is smaller base of truncated right circular cone, and dichroic mirror for spatial separation and establishment into solid-state active element of pumping radiation and amplified laser radiation. At that, optical system for arrangement of pumping radiation into solid-state active element is arranged so that pumping radiation is introduced into solid-state active element on the side of its circular end face, which is smaller base of truncated right circular cone.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing the possibility of reducing the effect of thermal effects, due to which possibility of operation of the amplifier is provided at high average power (more than 20 W) and high energy pulses (more than 10 mJ).
