SUBSTANCE: apparatus (1) for food preparation, comprising a food preparation device (2) comprising a cooking point, communication unit (6) configured to exchange data with remote terminal (7) in accordance with a communication protocol, wherein communication unit (6) is configured to receive data on cooking parameters (5'), containing a set of coefficients (C1, C2, ..., Cn), food preparation device (2) control and monitoring unit (8), comprising processor (10) configured to control temperature in accordance with the cooking instruction. Control and monitoring unit (8) is configured to operate in a first configuration in which said cooking instruction depends on the selected product category, or, alternatively, in a second configuration, wherein said cooking instruction depends on a set of coefficients (C1, C2, ..., Cn) obtained by communication unit (6).
EFFECT: apparatus for cooking food and a method of using a cooking apparatus are disclosed.
