SUBSTANCE: electric food preparation device (1) comprising a button for activating a food surface marking function and processing means configured such that when the user has set at least one cooking program specified with the activation parameter of the marking function, then: - measuring element temperature of the top cooking plate (21) is used to control the temperature of at least the top cooking plate (21) to the pre-set preheating temperature during the preheating stage of the cooking program set by the user, and the temperature measuring element of lower cooking plate (11) is used to regulate the temperature of the lower cooking plate (11) and the upper cooking plate (21) to at least one set cooking temperature during the cooking stage (PC) of a cooking program, installed at the same time by the user.
EFFECT: enhancement of food preparation and marking.
