FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to laboratory diagnostics of human rotavirus infection. Material for detecting antigens of rotavirus infection by immunoassay is a suspension obtained by dissolving in normal saline of dried faecal extracts in 0.1 ml, wherein the dried faecal extracts are prepared as follows: in the test tube, 0.05 g of the sample is dissolved in the case of a solid faeces or 50 mcl in the case of liquid stool with 0.5 ml of a buffer solution, large particles are deposited on the bottom of the test tube, the test tube is filled with dispenser 50 mcl sample, is transferred onto slide and 15 mm-wide 20 mm-long smear is made, the smears are dried in a horizontal position at room temperature for 35–40 minutes and stored at room temperature for 2 months.

EFFECT: invention provides longer storage life of the material and higher diagnostic accuracy of rotavirus infection.
