FIELD: shipbuilding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, particularly, to underwater vessels destroying ice cover during surfacing. Ice cover is proposed to be destroyed by submarine by its attachment to ice by means of anchor and rope. Available on-board ballast tanks are filled with outboard water. Vessel, using pre-installed thrust devices in its ends provide rotation around its vertical main axis of inertia, wherein rope is attached to ship at point located on its rotational axis while swivel is arranged therein. Then, ship horizontal hinges are shifted to negative angles of attack.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of ice breaking.
