FIELD: vessels and other watercrafts.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, particularly, to underwater vessels destroying ice cover during surfacing. Disclosed is method of destruction of ice cover by submarine by its attachment to ice by means of anchor and rope. Available on-board ballast tanks are filled with outboard water. Vessel, using pre-installed in its ends thrust devices provide rotation around its vertical main axis of inertia, wherein rope is attached to ship at point located on its rotational axis while swivel is arranged therein. Water is sucked into thrusters on channel, inlet of which is located under ice under anchor installation place.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of ice breaking.
