SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices and a method of suppressing oscillations of optical discharge and can be used in microelectronics, spectroscopy, photochemistry and other fields. Device for suppressing oscillations of optical discharge consists of discharge chamber, transparent for input laser radiation and output optical radiation, filled with gas mixture, of one or several lasers located outside discharge chamber, which radiation is focused near discharge chamber center. Inside the chamber there is a heat-removing rod, the pointed end of which is installed with possibility of movement of the area of the side surface of the front of the temperature of the gas heated by optical discharge in the direction to optical discharge.
EFFECT: stabilization of broadband optical radiation with high spectral brightness.
