FIELD: hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering and can be used to annihilate a water flow in end devices of closed pipelines and tunnel culverts. Water flow energy damper includes supply water conduit 1, flow-guiding cap 4, which is installed above additional chamber 6 and is connected to it by rigid links 5. Additional chamber 6 is made with conical bottom 11 with inlet hole 12 and conical overlapping 9 from above with outlet hole 10. Movable flow-guiding cap 4 together with additional chamber 6 are arranged inside space of rigidly fixed truncated cone 3, which in its turn is connected by rigid connection 17 to inner side wall of vertical chamber 2. Vertical chamber 2 is made in the form of a closed shell. On truncated cone 3 outer side walls in the upper part the annular reflecting screens 13, and annular reflective inclined screen 18 is attached to vertical wall of chamber 2 above annular reflecting screens 13 in upper part of working chamber 2 in front of cover 16. In upper part of side wall of chamber 2 there is bypass hole 20 arranged at level coinciding with mark of bottom of discharge chute 21, bottom of which is connected to outlet pipeline 22 with controlled gate 23. Movable flow-guiding cap 4 is located between guides 14 fixed by rigid rods 15 to fixed truncated cone 3. Movable flow-guiding cap 4 with chamber 6 secured thereto by means of rigid connection 5 is made with possibility to adjust displacement height relative to pit 8 of water conduit 1. Water supplied to vertical chamber 2 is split (separated) into separate parts and is directed by vertical movement of water upwards and depends on position, in which movable flow guiding cap 4 with chamber 6 is located, connected by rigid links 5 in space of installed rigid truncated cone 3, where the outlet flow is pressed above pit 8 of the pressure water duct 1 outlet. Flow along height of working chamber 2 loses energy and settles before outlet opening 20, after which it enters outlet trough 21.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency and reliability of process of intensive damping of kinetic energy of separated flow and subsequent connection in upper part of working chamber, further, the flow enters the discharge chute connected to the discharge pipeline with the control valve.
