FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in diagnostics of defects of gas turbine engine gearboxes. Diagnostics method for defects of gear wheel teeth of reduction gearbox of gas turbine engine consists in that signals of rotation of input and output shafts of diagnosed transmission are removed and value of defect is determined by difference of analysed parameters. Presence of the defect is determined from the difference in the dispersion of the current frequency of narrow-band processes of rotation frequencies of the input and output shafts obtained from tachometric sensors of rotation thereof, which are included in the engine, and comparing this difference with the reference value.
EFFECT: technical result consists in simplification of diagnostics of gear wheel gearbox defects and in possibility of its implementation in engine operating conditions.
