FIELD: testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of test equipment and can be used for diagnostics of gear transmissions, for diagnostics of planetary reduction gears and other types of machines having a gearbox output shaft speed sensor. Method includes fixation of the reduction gear output shaft rpm signal received from the engine tachometric rpm transducer, determination of the data array of its current frequency, and calculation of the autospectrum. Presence of a defect is determined from the intensity of the component at a frequency equal to the product of the number of satellites and the rotation frequency of the output shaft, and the obtained result is compared with the reference value.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of assessing the technical condition of the reduction gear.
