SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organic chemistry, specifically to a method of producing quinolines by reacting aniline with 20 % aqueous glycerol in the presence of a zeolite catalyst, characterized in that the zeolite catalyst used is granular high-crystallinity zeolite H-Ymmm with a hierarchical porous structure, the reaction is carried out in a flow reactor with a fixed catalyst bed H-Ymmm at 350–450 °C, atmospheric pressure, raw material feed rate of 0.2–1.0 h-1, molar ratio of aniline to glycerine of 1:1–3.

EFFECT: technical result is an efficient heterogeneous-catalytic method of producing quinoline, widely used as an initial component in synthesis of biologically active substances.
