FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science, in particular to obstetrics and gynecology. Invention represents a method for prediction and determining ovulation in female dogs by analyzing progesterone content in blood serum and ultrasonography of ovaries and based on the results of the studies, the ratio of progesterone in the blood serum to the diameter of the dominant follicle is determined, which should be within the following limits: 0.7-1.35.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to specify prediction and definition of ovulation in dogs.
