FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: technical result is achieved due to that in each cascade of generator, which contains in power part two storage capacitors and voltage inversion unit, switching unit of the second capacitor is introduced into the power generator part to allow switching from voltage inversion on the second capacitor to inversion of connection of the second capacitor, which considerably reduces current of elements of the voltage inversion unit (inversion current).

EFFECT: increased efficiency and reliability of operation, reduced weight and dimensions of pulse generator with voltage inversion at generation of voltage pulses, which are close to "rectangular" ones.
