FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of storage of crop production and can be used for long-term storage of apples and pears. Method for storage of apples and pears consists in treatment thereof prior to laying for storage medium-low frequency electromagnetic field at frequency 35-37 Hz and current intensity 1-3 A for 2-4 minutes. Then processed apples and pears are put into storage in presence of granule of absorber of ethylene in amount of 1-2 g/kg.
EFFECT: implementation of the declared method will allow to reduce total weight loss of apples by 1%, and pears - by 0_8% compared to the known method, and also provides reduced losses of vitamin C, P-active substances and β-carotene during storage.
