SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an evaporator assembly for an aerosol generating system. Evaporation unit comprises tube (1) having first end (2) with inlet opening and second end (3) with outlet opening (4). Evaporation unit additionally comprises heating element (8) intended for evaporation of liquid aerosol-forming substrate and provided at second end (3) of tube (1). First end (2) of tube (1) is considered to be in fluid communication with liquid storage part (11). When first end (2) of tube (1) is connected to fluid storage part (11), enabling the liquid aerosol-forming substrate to flow from the liquid storage portion (11) through the inlet opening into tube (1). Outlet hole (4) of the tube is provided in the form of perforated holes having width from 1 to 500 mcm, at that, on the inner surfaces of the perforation holes, a hydrophobic layer is provided.

EFFECT: disclosed is an evaporation unit for an aerosol generating system.
