FIELD: electrical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in the electronics industry for manufacturing sealed magnetically controlled contacts (reed switches). Method of manufacturing reed switch allows forming nitrided contact pads directly there, where during electrical current switching physical contact of reed switches contact parts takes place, which increases erosion resistance and, as a result, working time of reed switches.

EFFECT: technical result of disclosed method is reducing the cost of reed switch by replacing low-efficiency equipment with high-performance equipment, which action is based on application of rotating permanent magnets and voltage supplied to contacts of reed switch, in the form of meander, polarity of pulses of which changes synchronously with each rotation of permanent magnets.
