A method of modeling ovarian cancer experimentally in rats by orthotopic transplantation of a tumor cell culture involves sexually mature female Wistar rats are injected once under the membrane of the bag of both ovaries with 25 mcl of ascitic syngeneic ovarian carcinoma containing 4.4±0.4×106 (mean±SD) of tumor cells obtained from Wistar female rats, on which the strain is maintained by permanent intraperitoneal passages of ascites containing 1×107 cells in 0.5 ml of physiological solution in rat.
EFFECT: method enables to reproduce late stages (III-IV stages) of ovarian cancer experimentally in rats with high probability (100%), reduces expenses for experiment, has accessibility.
