FIELD: photosensitive actuators.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the area of photosensitive actuators capable of transforming light into mechanical impact, and applies to an actuator apparatus, method of actuation and method of manufacture thereof. The apparatus includes a stack formed of multiple photosensitive layers wherein said layers are deformed by way of reacting to light and are separated by corresponding deformable non-photosensitive layers. The deformable non-photosensitive layers direct the light between the photosensitive layers and to the photosensitive layers and may be deformed in accordance with deformation of photosensitive layers.

EFFECT: invention enables possibility of improved regulation of excitation and/or improved total output action caused by actuation, also allowing to use photosensitive layers with high absorbing capacity in optically activated actuators by reducing thickness of the layers while raising the number of pairs of photosensitive layers.
