FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to production of wear-, impact-, heat-, crack- and corrosion-resistant coatings and can be used for improvement of reliability and durability of wide range of tools. Method of obtaining coating on surface of cutting plate from high-speed steel includes arrangement of cutting plate in vacuum chamber of installation, in which there is a source with a filamentary cathode and two evaporators in form of single-component cathodes, one of which is made of titanium, ion cleaning in an inert gas medium, heating surface of cutting plate, nitriding in atmosphere of nitrogen-containing gas, applying in medium of inert gas layer of titanium by means of evaporator in form of cathode from titanium and coating from intermetallide. Cutting plate is heated to 450–500 °C, nitriding is performed with assistance of plasma source with filamentary cathode, and titanium layer is coated with titanide-based intermetallide coating. Coating is applied from intermetallic compound based on titanide of Ti-Zr, Ti-Mo, Ti-Cr or Ti-Al system.
EFFECT: higher physical and mechanical properties of the tool.
